Maria Badia

Maria Abadia is proof that good practice pays off, quite literally: she joined sb for an internship supporting the design team and stayed on her own merit. Resolute and fun-loving, she combines a creative eye with the ability to solve any visual challenge that comes her way.

With a master's in Art Direction from ESCAC and a background in Audiovisual Communication, Maria moves comfortably between graphic design, art direction and photography. Her experience ranges from designing digital assets for campaigns to full art direction on shoots — including visual narrative, lighting, set design, and post-production — as well as styling still-life setups and sourcing props for product photography. Before sb, she cut her teeth in art departments across film and advertising, and spent a spell as a photographer in Berlin.

Away from the screen, you'll find Maria camera in hand, tending to her plants, browsing second-hand shops or spending time with friends. And if there's something sweet and something savoury on the breakfast table, she'll be first in line.
